Hey everyone. I know I've been spotty with my updates and posts, often only posting blog posts if there ever is any word from me. But, as you can probably tell from the past few months of text, I've been re-thinking and trying to deal with a lot of my life and choices. I've been primarily focused on switching to writing and editing as my career, but flailing about as the avenues are endless and uncertain in every direction. I think I'm in a majority of folks who have a paralyzing fear of this, especially as the years go by and time begins to shrink and hasten. Choosing the wrong approach might have dire consequences. But, doing nothing will have guaranteed failure. So, I've decided to simply move forward in a path that I think is appropriate. With all of that said, here's my plan: I'll be updating the site with one blog post on Monday and one story on Saturday. I feel like this new writing schedule is sustainable for me right now, as work is still consuming a majority of my time and energy. I'll be posting on Twitter four times a week, typically Monday-Thursday, as well as interacting with people there during those days. I know that like many people, I'm not keen on approaching strangers too often, let alone with something that I'm trying to market. I hate the idea of marketing myself, of exclaiming to people to look at me. But the fact is that I have to advocate for myself. There's no way I'll be able to get anywhere in writing if I don't. And though I'd like to keep my life about exploring and sharing writing, the fact is that business is an inevitable part of the process. So, I'll be trying to communicate more with people and putting myself out there. Green Mirror Literary is still on track for the upcoming second issue and I still plan on having it published three times a year. But, I do plan on changing the format on it a bit. Further details at a later time for that. I've restarted my Patreon and have only one tier: a five dollar one that is purely meant for support. Unfortunately, at this time I can't guarantee anything other than what is here on the site. Perhaps later on, when I'm more established in my writing habits, I can promise other goodies. But, right now all I can offer is my appreciation and love for you all who choose to subscribe to me. I've also started profiles on Fiverr and Upwork for ghostwriting and editing services. Editing has always been something that fascinates me and I think that further honing my skills in it is a good idea. Ghostwriting seems to also be an essential skill for career writers, so I'll also be trying to improve on that as well. And on top of all of this, if I can make some money and begin to grow a brand behind it, maybe I'll be recognizable to people someday. If any of you fine readers need some writing or editing services done, please feel free to click on the links above and I'm sure we can work something out. I can't believe I've had to tell myself this, but in in order for me to begin a career in writing books I have to write a book. As of right now, I have three manuscripts. I'm working on one of them and hope to have it self-published by December. Where I'll have it published, I'm unsure. But I will be hard at work, trying to get it out there. Anyway, I'm glad to have shared that with you all. I'll be trying my best to make my return to writing as clear and concise as possible. So, until Friday! Have a wonderful beginning of the week everyone!
