I’ve been absent for the past few weeks. Things have been a bit busy. Nothing very special and definitely nothing that you all haven’t heard from me before. All of it needing to be done, of course. Just things that aren’t so routine that feed into the routine maintenance of life. 

Unfortunately, this absence also means that I haven’t been able to prepare content for you all this month. I had an idea in the first week, but it was never able to come to fruition. I’ll save it for the next content posting. Which, admittedly, may be in September, as I have a trip coming up and I imagine I won’t be spending my time writing during that time. But, rest assured, there’s still content churning around in my head.

The only thing that I can speak on right now is the fact that everything is going by so fast. A good amount of friends and family around me have children and they really are a marker for time passed. It seems like not too long ago when they were all born, but now they’re getting ready for their first school experiences. This has caused me to try and take stock in what I’ve achieved in my recent years of life. And it doesn’t seem like too much. At least, there’s not many things that I’ve wanted to achieve that have been achieved. But that’s not to say things haven’t been done. Maybe the things that I’ve done just don’t highlight in my mind. And the comparison of achievement between myself and a child doesn’t seem to be very level. There’s leaps and bounds left and right for a growing child. I’m 33. I was going to write “and established”, but it seems like that’s something that still needs to be done. Regardless, I think that the gaps between achievement are larger for someone my age and a child. 

And all of this, not really necessary. Comparison. It’s just a matter of continuing to move forward, focusing on things that I need to do to get to where I want to be. That’s why I’m doing this and all. I’ve also restarted my interest in photography. Right now I’m working on learning how my camera functions and composition. The beginning of things and all of that. Maybe I’ll post some of my work here, as well. But, I think that I’ll primarily be posting it on an Instagram page. Updates on that at some other time.

For now, I’m going to enjoy the time I have for writing, jotting down ideas I’ve had for some of the worlds that I’ve been writing in that I might have mentioned somewhere in my previous posts.
